LEMONADE We
all experience burnt toast in
life when bad things happen. The trick is to keep an optimistic attitude and find
a way to turn it around for good. Here
are some examples of lemons that were made into lemonade: --Post-it notes were a failed experiment in
new glues. --Coca-Cola was a headache remedy that
didn’t work. --Toll House
Cookies were a lazy person’s way to avoid grating chocolate into the
batter. Instead, they chopped it into chunks.
--Levi jeans were made from left
over tents and tent material that didn’t sell. Strauss
made good use of the fabric. --Thousands of people are successful today in
new careers because of a forced change they made years ago- like the woman
who sold some sunflower seeds on the internet and it turned into a profitable
business. The
next time you are faced with a challenging situation, set yourself apart from
the issue. Look at it with no emotion attached. Need to come up with ideas?
De-stress first with playfulness and laughter to release those creative ideas
and ask yourself: --What do I need to do to make this work? --How can I turn this around? Get
creative, think out of the box. Take the role of a problem solver and look at
it as a lemonade opportunity! Most of our limitations are
in our own thinking. BUSINESS GOLF:
Don’t be a lemon of a partner 1. Dress
appropriately. If you have questions, call the club. 2. Arrive
early to allow time to get organized and practice. 3. No
cell phones or pagers. 4. Always
be ready for the next shot; avoid creating any unnecessary delays. 5. Be
gracious - no tantrums, swearing, excuses. Behave in a manner suitable for
the office. 6. Sincerely
compliment your partner when he/she makes a good shot. 7. Never
coach or give advice unless it is asked of you. 8. Get
out of the cart whenever your opponent does. 9. Focus
on the relationship. Only talk business if your guest opens the conversation;
otherwise, save it for the 19th hole. 10.
Follow up the next day. Whether it’s a thank you for a great game or how
about that contract. Think of your golf as an ongoing investment. Success in this game depends less on strength
of body TO or TA? Does your speech sabotage you?
Do you announciate correctly? Listen to yourself when you speak, are you
saying ta instead of to? nare
for there? Plenny instead of
plenty? How about innermission instead of intermission?
Pay attention to your consonants and syllables, pronounce them.
Remember the saying “Sloppy is as sloppy does” – I bet it
applies to our grammar, too.

Great
Safety Tip: Walking alone in the parking lot?
Carry your keys while walking to your car. In case of an attack, press the
panic button for your car and set the alarm off. Chances are the attacker
will run. The horn will continue to sound until you either turn it off or the
car battery dies. ALSO Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a
noise outside your home or someone trying to get into your house, just press
the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off. Chances are the burglar
won’t stick around. Test it; it will go off from most everywhere in your
house. |
